Sunshine has come here - but still quite Cool outside. However - nothing speaks to me more of Spring than the appearance of Primroses - Hyacinths - and the delicate pink Arabis - a prolific rockery plant that always blooms and covers my largest outdoor Planter - this very time of year.

Work in Progress - MMR (c)
Started a new painting of Primroses - experimenting with including a few Vintage Lace pieces for some texture. A technique that is a bit time consuming but worth it - as I really like the effect of tactile contrast -! So I will continue.
Here is a closeup of a piece of vintage - Irish Lace Crochet -
that is a bit heavier than most lace and as a result -
It accepts the overlaid Acrylic paint so well.
(I was reading about this Lace - and learned that the making and selling of this
Lace by the Irish Women helped to save the lives of many -
from the 'Potato Famine' of the 1800's)
Finished this Painting (18" x 22" Acrylic on Canvas)
By adding - a cup of Primroses. Amazing how it helped
to lighten it up - by balancing the bright pink Stargazer-!
