Black & White Decor - #2

I love the way Black & White patterns or stripes when used together like Salt & Pepper - just as an accent - will add such a distinctive flavor to what one may consider a "bland room" of mostly all white-!

In this corner of a living room, Bold Stripes & White Cotton curtains dress the windows & cushions.  The walls have been sponged a soft Peach (not orange-!) using a diluted acrylic paint.  A plaster cast bust from a Flea Market sets upon a small Biedermeir bedside cabinet.

Love the Ionic Column Lamp-!

And the Silver Trophy Vase with White Roses

The Bed is Crowned by White Sheets turned over and attached to the ceiling with brass hooks and held back by Rosettes from a Church organ.

Cupboard and Screen are from a Flea Market -

Love the Whimsical Sculpture and crown on top.

The Designer lives in Zurich, Switzerland. She painted the walls and made all the curtains and valances herself. Needlework is still widely practiced in Switzerland and She feels that to lose the skills would be sad. - "It's a good feeling to make things with your own Hands.
